最近、多くの教会が閉じ、無牧となり、どんどん教会の数が減っているとう現状を今まで以上に耳にします。しかしそのような中で、わたしたちがまだ気づいていない神様の計画があること、そして神の恵みと計画にあって希望を持つように導かれています。
Recently, we hear more than ever about churches closing, leaving people without pastors, and the number of churches rapidly decreasing. However, amidst all this, we are led to believe that there is a plan of God that we have not yet realized, and to have hope in God's grace and plan.

日本の将来の宣教や教会開拓、また教派や教会を超えて共に宣教活動をしようという声や意識が高まっています。そのためのセミナーやネットワーク間での集まりや話し合いへの誘いが最近増えています。
There is a growing awareness and voice for future missions and church planting in Japan, as well as for working together across denominations and churches to carry out missionary activities. Recently, there has been an increase in invitations to seminars and networking gatherings and discussions to this end.

上記にあって、CTCJが都市や街で目指す、福音のエコシステムや街ぐるみの協力関係へのビジョンを常にシェアしています。
In light of the above, we are constantly sharing our vision for the gospel ecosystem and city-wide collaborative relationships that CTCJ aims to create in cities and towns.

今期も、神様が名古屋という街に秘めておられる霊的な可能性が、静かに、しかし着実に開かれていくのを実感しています。長い年月の中で育まれてきた伝統と産業のリズムは、この街の強い土台であり続けていますが、その内側では、人々の心に小さな“新しい息吹”が芽生え始めています。地域で仕える日本人・外国人のリーダーたちは皆、 「福音がこの地でどのように根づき、実を結び、広がっていくのか」

というビジョンを少しずつ共有し始めています。名古屋で起こっているこの静かな前進は、他の地域にも必ず広がりうると信じています。 必要な時にCTCJがそっと寄り添い、伴走できる存在になれればと願っています。

This quarter, I once again sensed that God is quietly yet steadily unveiling the spiritual potential He has planted in the city of Nagoya. This city has long been shaped by a deep rhythm of tradition and industry – foundations that continue to support its identity. Yet beneath that familiar surface, small “new breaths” of renewal have begun to appear in the hearts of many. Both Japanese and international leaders serving in the region are gradually beginning to share a common vision: How might the gospel take root in this land, bear fruit, and spread more deeply and widely? This quiet forward movement we’re seeing in Nagoya is something we believe God can – and will – bring about in other regions as well.When such moments arise, we hope CTCJ can be a gentle companion, walking alongside churches and leaders as they take their next step.

今期、新しく若い日本人牧師がインキュベーターに加わってくださり、大きな励ましとなりました。一人の参加が加わることで場全体に新しい風が吹き込み、議論はさらに深まり、互いの視点や励ましも豊かになっていくのを実感しました。また、岐阜市で教会開拓に励んでおられる牧師夫妻を訪問し、祈りの課題を伺い、心を合わせて祈る機会が与えられました。地域の最前線で奮闘されている開拓者の霊的・肉体的な必要を共有し、継続して祈りに覚えることの大切さを深く学びました。宣教の最前線に立つリーダーたちの上に、主の確かな臨在と守り、導きが豊かにありますよう心から願っています。
This quarter, a young Japanese pastor joined the Incubator, and his presence was a tremendous encouragement. Even the addition of one new participant brought a fresh wind into the room. Discussions deepened, perspectives broadened, and the mutual encouragement among participants grew richer. It reminded us again of the value of leaders learning and walking together.
I also had the privilege of visiting a church-planting couple serving in Gifu City. Listening to their prayer requests and praying with them was a gift. Hearing the spiritual and physical burdens carried by those on the frontlines of ministry helped us rediscover the importance of holding these leaders continually in prayer.We pray earnestly that God’s steady presence, protection, and guidance will rest abundantly upon those serving at the front lines of mission—both in Nagoya and in every region.

CTCJは、主が各地で進めておられる働きに寄り添い、教会やリーダーが次の一歩を踏み出せるよう伴走することを大切にしています。今期は、今年最後のインキュベーターを無事終えることができました。全9回の学びと交わりを通して、参加者全員が深い恵みにあずかり、互いの働きに対する理解と励ましが大きく広がりました。
CTCJ desires to come alongside the work God is already doing in each city and support churches and leaders as they take their next faithful step. This quarter, we successfully completed the final Incubator session of the year. Across all nine gatherings, participants experienced deep learning and rich fellowship, and we together rejoiced in the grace we encountered throughout the journey.

Below is feedback from Pastor H, one of the participants in this year’s Incubator.

Q1. 今年のインキュベーターで、牧師として最も影響を受けた点は何でしたか？「学び続けることの大切さを改めて実感しました。良いリマインダーとなり、新しい気づきも与えられたことに感謝しています。」
Q1. As a pastor, what influenced you the most through this year's Incubator? "I was reminded of the importance of continuing to learn. It served as a helpful reminder and also gave me new insights, which I’m grateful for."

Q2. インキュベーターは、ご自身の教会でのミニストリーにどのような変化や気づきを与えましたか？「教会のことを考えるとき、木に例えるなら“枝葉”の部分、つまり細かなアプリケーションに意識が向きがちだと思います。しかし本当に変わるべきは“幹”の部分であり、その変化には時間がかかると感じています。たとえば、インキュベーターの初期で学んだ「私たちは皆それぞれ異なる“レンズ”を通して物事を解釈している」という点について言えば、解釈の違いに目を向ける前に、自分がどんなレンズをかけているのかを自覚する必要があります。根本に立ち返ることができたのは大変良い学びでした。」

Q2. How did the Incubator bring change or new awareness to your ministry context? "When thinking about church ministry, we often focus on the “branches and leaves”—the finer applications. However, the real area that needs to change is the “trunk,” and I believe that kind of change takes time. For example, early in the Incubator we learned that each of us views things through different “lenses.” We tend to focus on differences in interpretation, but before that, we need to recognize the fact that we are all wearing lenses in the first place. Being able to return to these foundational truths was very helpful for me."

Q3. 参加したことをきっかけに、教会で新しく取り入れたことや変化させた実践はありますか？「教会の変化は、まずリーダー自身の変化から始まると思います。インキュベーターを通して、私の中にも確かに変えられた部分があります。しかし、それを教会全体へと落とし込むにはまだ時間が必要だと感じています。宿題が十分にできていなかったことも影響していますし、私の教会の場合は複数のリーダーがいますので、もし皆で参加できていたら、教会としての変化はさらに大きかったかもしれません。」

Q3. Have you implemented anything new in your church or made any changes as a result of the Incubator? "I believe that change in a church begins with change in its leaders. Through the Incubator, there are areas in my own life and leadership that have certainly been transformed. However, it will still take time to translate that into changes within the church. I also think the fact that I wasn’t able to complete all the homework assignments had an impact. And in the case of our church, since we have multiple leaders, I imagine the influence on the church would have been even greater if all of us had been able to participate together."

今期はさらに、CBIカンファレンスへの参加を通して多くの新しいリーダーたちと挨拶し、つながりを持つことができました。また、メールアウトリーチでは伝統的な教会のリサーチを行い、初めて関わる牧師たちへ丁寧にアプローチすることができました。これらの働きが、「必要なときにはCTCJに相談できる」、「一緒に考え、祈り、歩んでくれる」という安心感につながり、地域教会の励ましとなることを願っています。
In addition, this quarter we were able to greet and connect with many new leaders at the CBI Conference.Through our email outreach, we conducted research on traditional churches in Aichi Prefecture and reached out—often for the very first time—to pastors we had not previously connected with. Through these efforts, our hope is that pastors and churches will
remember CTCJ when they encounter needs, knowing that they can reach out and that CTCJ will walk with them, pray with them, and offer tangible support when needed.

インキュベーターのプログラムは沖縄の牧師や教会開拓者に良い影響を与えています。沖縄で福音的な教会が開拓されるために不可欠なコンテンツを届けることが出来ています。そして私たちは新しい教会開拓者を探しています。そのためにもこのプログラムは欠かせません。
The Incubator program is having a positive impact on pastors and church planters in Okinawa. It provides essential content for the planting of evangelical churches in Okinawa. And as we seek new church planters, this program is essential.

物語 Stories

ある若い牧師は、教会開拓をしたいという思いが与えられています。しかし彼は一つの教会のグループの経験しかありませんでした。しかしGTOに参加することによって新しいネットワークが広がりました。主によって健全で福音的な交わりが与えられたことに喜びを感じました。
One young pastor had been given the desire to plant a church, but he had only had experience with one church group. However, by participating in GTO, he was able to expand his network and rejoice in the healthy, evangelical fellowship the Lord had given him.

これまで平均20名の参加がありました。また9月のスペシャルイベントでは40名近い人が集まりました。
To date, the average number of participants has been 20, and a special event in September drew nearly 40 people.

コーチング Coaching

江崎 公二 | Koji Esaki

６名の新しいコーチが与えられました。トレーニングが実際のコーチングの中でどのように生かされているかを観察するために各コーチにコーチングを録画してもらいました。それを見てコーチング・ディレクターがフィードバックしました。
We have now 6 newly trained coaches. In order to know how the CROSS model training has been applied to the actual coaching session, each coach was asked to take a video of a coaching session. Then the coaching director saw the video and gave the feedback to each coach for the further development of their coaching skills.

詳しい内容は話せませんが、難しい局面に直面した教会開拓者はコーチングを通して共に祈り、「主なる神が励ましと慰めを与えてくださいました。」と言われました。次のセッションまでの戦略などを話すことはありませんでしたが、コーチも教会開拓者も心の癒しが必要であることを理解し祈り続けることにしました。

While I cannot share the details, but there is a church planter, who faced a difficult phase, and said, "Through this coaching God encourage and comforted me." Eventually we did not plan any strategy for the next session, but we know that we need to continue to pray for the healing of wounded hearts.
