不法移民の取り締まり、合法的な金銭的義務を回避する外国人、ペーパーカンパニーの存在により外交関係はやや複雑ではあるものの、大阪は依然として外国人住民への配慮と尊重の心を開いた場所である。市内では抗議活動も一部発生しているが、大多数の人々は他者と平和に調和して暮らしたいと願っており、日本を安全で清潔、平和な状態に保つために皆がそれぞれの役割を果たすことを望んでいる。社会経済的緊張が高まる中、福音が如何に一致と安全をもたらすかを示す絶好の機会である。
As foreign relations are a little complicated due to the crackdown of illegal immigration, foreigners who avoid legal financial duties, and skeleton companies, Osaka remains a place whose hearts are still opened to caring for and respecting the foreigner population. While there are some protests happening in the city, most people want to live in peace and harmony with others, they just want everyone to do their part to keep Japan safe, clean, and peaceful. It is a great opportunity to show how the Gospel can bring unity and security when the social and economic tensions rise.

クリスマスシーズンが近づくにつれ、多くの教会では人々を教会やクリスマス行事へ招きやすくなる特別な時期に向けて準備を進めています。多くの日本人はクリスマスの本当の意味を知りませんが、街の装飾や店舗・ショッピングモールで流れる音楽が醸し出す雰囲気を好みます。このため、キリスト教のクリスマス行事や礼拝への招待に「はい」と答えやすくなる特別な季節となるのです。私たちはこれを「チャンスタイム！」と呼んでいます。
As the Christmas season is at hand, many churches are gearing up for an exceptionally easier time to invite people to church or Christmas events. Many Japanese don't know the real meaning of Christmas, but they like the ambience it brings in the city's decorations and music played in stores and malls. This makes it a special season where people are more likely to say yes to an invitation to a Christian Christmas event or worship service. We like to call it "Chance time!"

How does CTC take part in what God is doing in your city?

シティ・トゥ・シティは、市内および広域関西圏の教会や組織間の架け橋となる活動を継続しています。インキュベーターなどの研修プログラムを通じて、牧師やリーダーが福音がいかに私たちの心や奉仕活動、さらには日曜礼拝の構築方法さえも形作るかという課題と向き合う手助けをしています。
City to City continues to help build bridges between churches and organizations around the city and greater Kansai region. We provide training through things like the Incubator which help pastors and leaders wrestle with the ideas of how the Gospel shapes our own hearts, our ministries, and even the way we build our Sunday Worship services.

大阪は、オープンマインドでありたいと願いながらも、その「大阪らしさ」を守ろうとする都市です。2025年万博の開催地として、日本全国や世界中から多くの人々が大阪に集まり、様々な文化や言語が急増し混ざり合っています。温かい心と攻撃的な性格という表裏一体の性質で知られる大阪人は、訪れる全ての人々を歓迎し受け入れるよう最善を尽くしています。しかし同時に、自分たちらしさを尊重されたいとも願っています。自分の文化を失ったり、無邪気に軽んじられることを望んでいないのです。
Osaka is a city that desires to be open-minded but also strives to keep its "Osaka-ness". As the host of the 2025 World Expo, many people from around Japan and the world are flocking to Osaka, bringing a sudden increase and mixing of many cultures and languages. Known for being both warm-hearted and aggressive, two sides of the same coin, Osaka-jin are trying their best to be welcoming and accommodating to all the visitors, but they also want to be respected for being themselves too, and not losing their culture or being too naively disrespected.

過去10年間、大阪では教会の指導者が幾度も交代し、新たな教会が開拓される一方で閉鎖される教会もありました。神は、教会設立と牧会が非常に困難なものであるにもかかわらず、御自身が力と未来への希望の源であることを示しておられます。そして牧師や教会開拓者たちを支え、試練や困難を耐え忍ぶ力を与えておられます。その結果、指導者間の絆はより強固になり、互いへの深い思いやりと配慮が生まれ、逆境を通して実りがもたらされているのです。
In the past 10 years Osaka has had quite a few leadership changes in churches, and new churches being planted but also some that have closed. God is showing that though planting and pastoring churches can be quite challenging, He is the source of strength and hope for the future. God is sustaining pastors and church planters to persevere trials and difficulties, resulting in stronger relationships between leaders, a deep care and concern for one another and fruitfulness born through adversity.

How does CTC take part in what God is doing in your city?

CTCは牧師やミニストリーリーダーのつながりを支援し、新たな教会開拓者や既存教会の牧師を育成・訓練します。CTCは牧師同士が互いを知り合う安全な場を提供し、都市のより大きな益を求め、ここに福音が根付くのを見るために、私たちの「集まり」の外やその先での連携を促進します。また牧師を訪問し、友情を築き、個人的に支えます。
CTC helps to connect pastors and ministry leaders and equips and trains new church planters and pastors of existing churches. CTC facilitates safe places for pastors to discover each other and promotes partnering outside and beyond our "tribes" as we seek the greater good of the city and to see the Gospel take root here. We also visit pastors to build friendships and support them personally.

2025年万博開催のため、大阪に新たな島が建設されました。日本全国、そして世界中から人々がこのイベントのために大阪に集まっています。これは、神が世界中の人々を御自身のもとへ招いておられることを思い出させてくれます。そして、この特別な時こそ、世界が私たちのもとへ来ているからこそ、大阪にいる私たちも福音を世界に伝えることができるのです。
A new island was built in Osaka to host the World Expo 2025. People from all around Japan and the world are flocking to Osaka for the event. This reminds us that God is calling people from all around the world to Himself, and in this particular time we in Osaka can reach the world with the gospel because the world is coming to us!

今四半期は、世界中の様々な教会や宣教団体から多くのチームが大阪を訪れ、地元の教会を支援し、補佐してきました。チームの受け入れは、地元の小さな教会にとって多忙で大変な作業となることもありますが、チームからの励まし、サポート、そしてエネルギーと人的資源の注入は、計り知れないほど貴重です。
This quarter we have seen many teams from different churches and mission organizations from around the world coming to Osaka to help support and supplement the local churches. Hosting teams can often be busy and a lot of work for small local churches, but the encouragement, support, and infusion of energy and people power from the teams are priceless.

CTCは、インキュベーターを通じて築かれた関係性をきっかけに、教会、宣教団体、キリスト教企業の間で関係を築き、その関係を育むためのスペースと環境の創出を支援しています。
CTC is helping to create a space and environment that helps to build relationships between churches, mission organizations, and Christian businesses through relationships being cultivated through the Incubator and beyond.

CHURCHES & MISSION ORGANISATIONS in the city PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER

大阪は、ユニークであることを誇りとするにぎやかな都市です。使われるのは大阪弁や関西弁、エスカレーターでは右側に立ち、左側を歩きます。「日本の台所」と呼ばれる美味しい食べ物と、ユーモアのセンスで知られています。大阪の人たちは感情や感覚をオープンにしていて、近所の道を歩いていても笑顔やお辞儀をしてくれます。道端や公園で、おじいちゃんやおばあちゃんが小さなスナックやお菓子を取り出して知らない子供にも渡しているのを見かけたとしても驚くようなことではありません。

Osaka is a bustling city that prides itself in being unique. We use Osaka-ben or Kansai-ben dialect, stand on the right side of the escalators and walk up on the left while the rest of the country does the opposite. We are known for our delicious food - "Japan's Kitchen" and crazy sense of humor. Osaka people are more open with their feelings and emotions, giving you a smile or a bow as you walk along the neighborhood streets. Don't be surprised if you see grandmas and grandpas taking out little snacks and treats and handing it random kids on the street or at the park.

今期は、市内の教会や宣教団体が互いに祈り合い、助けが必要な時には手を差し伸べるという愛が深まっているのを感じました。福音はここにしっかりと根付くことが出来るでしょう。人々は、たとえ小さく取るに足らないように見えるものであっても、真のつながりを切望しているからです。

This quarter we've seen a growing love amongst churches and mission organizations in the city, praying for one another and sending help when it's needed. The gospel can really take root here as people long for real connections even in the small and seemingly insignificant ways.

2ヶ所の組織と教会から新たに派遣されたチームが、ちょうど私たちの街に到着したところです。私たちは、そのチームを既存の宣教活動と連携させ、住宅の確保、銀行口座の開設、政府への教会開拓の登録など、複雑な手続きを支援しています。各人が独自の貢献と専門知識を提供し、より健全な教会が立ち上げられ、互いに協力し合えるよう努めています。

With 2 new missionary units from 2 different organizations and churches just arriving in our city, we have been getting them connected with existing ministries and helping them to navigate the intricacies of getting housing, setting up bank accounts, and registering their church plants with the government. Each person offering their own unique contribution and expertise to see more healthy churches planted and connected with one another.

これは、私たちの毎月の集会で現れている文化的変化の成果でもあります。この変化は、神の国とチームとしての考え方を育むんでいます。教会や宣教団体が教派の壁を越えて互いに愛し、支え合うことを学んでいるように、大阪インキュベーターでも同じことが起こっています。私たちは異なる教派や神学的な背景を持っていますが、福音中心で、かつ福音を土台とした働きを望んでいます。

This is partly a result of and a cultural shift that is happening at our monthly gatherings that helps to foster a kingdom and team mindset. As churches and mission organizations are learning to love and support one another across tribal lines, we are also witnessing this at the Osaka Incubator. We are from different denominational and/or theological backgrounds but all desire gospel-centered and gospel-shaped ministries.
